About KMUNA Conference

The KMUNA Conference is an intensive 3 day event where the workings of the UN main organs and committees will be simulated. Students step into the shoes of delegates of the UN member states to debate, give speeches, write resolutions, negotiate with allies and opponents, and collaboratively build innovative solutions to the most pressing world issues.

Each committee has its topic which addresses issues in areas such as: peace and security, human rights, the environment, food and hunger, economic development, etc. Before playing out their delegate roles in a Model UN simulation, students research the issue that their committee will address, as well as, the history, politics, culture, geography and the economics of the country they will represent.

Highschool MUN clubs will serve as delegations of a certain country in the KMUNA Conference, where they will play out and represent those countries.

KMUNA will produce booklets for delegates, delegate badges, supplement handout material, folders, posters, banners, and roadsigns for easy navigation in the conference.
